Hand writing Classes

Handwriting is a process that involves coordination between the mind and motor actions of the brain. Handwriting still forms an integral part of our education system due to the fact that the majority of our examinations are still handwritten. Handwriting reinforces our reading and language processing skills. Writing by hand allows time to slow down the thought process enabling the writer to think about the words, how they are spelt and the structure of the writing; all making the writer more adept at the language they are using.

Our handwriting course provides a hand-eye coordination, along with fine, visual motor skills to provide fluency in movements to present a beautiful handwriting. This course not only helps to improve handwriting, but also helps to write accurately. As each letter has its own identity, we emphasize on each letter and its creation. We teach not only to write also the proper way of holding pen or pencil and the write angle to place the notebooks. Consistent practice will help to develop the handwriting. There is no shortcut for handwriting repair and penmanship. Training at Kids Academy is based on identifying technical errors and focusing 100% on repair of these errors. It is a simple recall based curriculum. Here at Kids Academy we adopt scientific methods developed by experts in the field of handwriting. When you “write” sentences in the air with your finger, you’re actually training the complex group of muscles in your hand and entire arm to support you when you’re actually handwriting.

Print style

Print is a style where letters appear to be disconnected. It can also be called block letters, print script or manuscript. These styles are often used to write on official forms. Children are usually taught to write in print first before moving onto learning cursive writing.

Cursive style

Cursive handwriting is a form of writing in which the letters are connected, in an attempt to write faster. It's the opposite of block letters, where the pen lifts between every letter. It was much faster to write in connected cursive than in other styles, as you didn't need to lift the pen so often.

Lucida Style

A modern interpretation of a cursive blackletter style. The Lucida fonts have large x-height (tall lower- case letters), open apertures and quite widely spaced letters, classic features of fonts designed for legibility in body text. Capital letters were designed to be somewhat narrow and short in order to make all-caps acronyms blend in

Calligraphy

Calligraphy is the art of writing beautifully. It is the written letter, molded by one’s concept of ultimate grace and perfect balance, a personal artistic expression as unique as the lines on the fingertips with which one holds the pen. It places one’s soul at the tip of the pen for all to see. Calligraphy is the most intimate, personal, spontaneous form of expression. Like a fingerprint or a voice, it is unique for each person. Some types of Calligraphic fonts are Cyrillic ornamental script, texturaquadrata, italic, English roundhand, modern calligraphy, brush pen lettering and chalk lettering. Modern calligraphy is any calligraphy style that does not follow the fundamental rules of traditional calligraphy scripts. Modern alligraphy relies on certain principles of traditional calligraphy. However, it can provide you with more creative freedom. You will learn to write beautiful envelopes, invitations, save- the – dates scrapbook layouts, photography and event planning Businesses.
